Program Description: 

JWCH HOPWA Emergency Housing Program offers housing to individuals who are HIV+. Residents are allowed to stay for 60 days and receive 3 meals per day.

Referral Specifics: 
As a HOPWA – funded housing provider, they require to have physical documentation of the following before they can provide a bed to a potential client: Client will be housed at The Russ hotel emergency shelter for the duration of 60 days, and provided with 3 meals a day. One single room occupancy/sharing bathroom • Proof of HIV diagnosis (HIV diagnosis form from medical provider) • Proof of negative TB results (within the last year) • Covid-19 Vaccination card (if apply) • Negative Covid-19 test (result in the last few days of the enrollment) • Valid Photo ID / Social Security card (originals) • Proof of income and bank statements for the last 3 months • Referral Letter from Housing Specialist: Must state that the client has a history of mental illness and/or substance abuse, homeless or on the verge of homelessness. If the client does have a mental illness (e.g. bi-polar, schizophrenic, schizoaffective disorder, or NOS), and on medications; we will need confirmation from medical provider. Client’s Housing Specialist will continue assisting client during his time in the program on a regular basis.
