Program Description:

Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment is offered at differing levels of intensity depending on the needs of the individual client. Treatment is designed to either continue work from the residential setting, or for those clients whose life issues are not as severe or numerous as that of clients in a residential setting. The prime focus in outpatient treatment is relapse prevention, with an emphasis on incorporating recovery tools and values in one’s daily life. Treatment lasts between 3 – 9 months, with clients participating in treatment activities between 1 – 5 days each week. Drug Diversion Programs are for first time drug offenders who are ordered by the court to attend a drug education program. The course meets one time per week for 2 ½ hours for 20 weeks, and is offered in both English and Spanish. The program offers lectures, films, guest speakers, and group discussions designed to educate participants on the dangers and effects of drugs, increase self-awareness, and encourage behavior change as regards the use/abuse of drugs and alcohol. Drinking Driver Programs are for persons convicted of a first, second, or third offense of driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. This program emphasizes alcohol/drug education, group counseling, individual sessions and self-help group meetings. Licensed and certified by the State of California and Los Angeles County. Programs are three, six, or nine months in length, depending on the order of the court for individual participants, and are offered in both English and Spanish.
