CHANGES TO HOPWA HOTEL/MOTEL AND MEAL VOUCHER PROGRAM

The following information has been published in a memorandum issued by Brenda Wilson, President/CEO of New Image Emergency Shelter for the Homeless, Inc.

Effective April 1, 2010 clients that have utilized the HOPWA Hotel/Motel and Meal Voucher Program in the past six months will NOT be eligible to receive voucher services.  New Image has been charged with LAHD's goal to eliminate clients who have been deemed repetitive voucher recipients, and are now being required to focus on more permanent housing options.  Futhermore, clients without a definitive housing plan resulting in 24 hour emergency, transitional, or permanent housing placement will not be provided voucher services, therefore alternate housing solutions should be addressed.

Should you have any questions or desire additional information, feel free to contact New Image directly @ 323-231-1711 OR 562-733-1147
