New YouTube Series Answers Most Common HIV Questions

Got some lingering questions on HIV and sexual health? A new YouTube series called #AskTheHIVDoc makes getting answers easy.In an effort to help spread the message of health and wellness across the Internet, the folks over at Greater Than AIDS produced a fun, honest and truly informative video series on YouTube called #AskTheHIVDoc.

The new series is hosted by none other than HIV experts Dr. Demetre Daskalakis and Dr. David Malebranche, and answers common questions while debunking many myths gay men harbor about their sexual health.

In their signature “frank, no-nonsense style," Dr. Demtre and Dr. David use the new YouTube series to tackle HIV-related topics, the likes of which include the benefits of PrEP, whether it's a good idea to share medications, and what to do if and when you are just diagnosed.

“We may call ourselves queer, genderqueer, same-gender-loving, gay, homosexual…whatever term you decide to use, the most important thing is going to be your sexual health,” Dr. David said in a quick introduction to the series.

“Our job is to make you feel really comfortable about talking about HIV and sexually-transmitted infections,” Dr. Demetre said. “We have no shame about it, so you shouldn’t have any shame about it.”
