OUR MISSION: CHIRP/LA's mission is to provide housing options, and related services for people living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County.
CHIRP/LA is dedicated to preventing homelessness and improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS. By collaborating with local AIDS Service Organizations and Community Based Organizations, CHIRP/LA assists people living with HIV/AIDS locate housing and myriad support services that best fit their individual needs.
A project of PAWS/LA, CHIRP/LA is funded by HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People living With AIDS), and administered by the City of Los Angeles Housing Department.
ABOUT CHIRP/LA: CHIRP/LA (Comprehensive Housing Information & Referrals for People Living with HIV/AIDS) is a HOPWA (Housing Opportunities For People Living With AIDS) Funded Program operating under PAWS/LA (Pets are Wonderful Support).
CHIRP/LA operates as a central and county-wide housing information and referral hotline. CHIRP/LA's goal will be to increase access for PLWH/A, their families, and Service Providers to appropriate housing referrals throughout Los Angeles County. This resource will assist to combat homelessness and provide awareness to the community in need of housing, and other supportive services such as, medical, food, clothing, financial rental assistance (to qualified individuals) and case management services.
CHIRP/LA staff is dedicated to providing accurate and current information to clients in need of services.
